Judy cried herself to sleep again. Her heart was breaking into a million pieces. She could not understand anything that was going on, in her life.
“Where are You Lord?” was all that was racing through her mind. He felt so far. He was distant. She felt betrayed, and empty and lost. It was as though a hole had been drilled through her heart. Why did it have to be me? She could not understand why her heart was broken and why she was disappointed. She had been praying for a breakthrough in her life. This was important. She knew she would nail it! She had to. After all, she had a faithful God by her side.
As she went for her second interview that week, she had prayed and felt optimistic about the interview. She knew this was God’s doing. Or did she? Two weeks later her friend told her that she (her friend) had been called back and it stung. Judy was happy that her friend had got it, but what about her? Why hadn’t God fought for her?
This is it right there. She had not given God the chance to speak. She was so sure that the job was hers, she had missed God’s voice saying, “I have something better for you darling. Let me handle this for you.”
I know that this is a cliche saying, that gold has to go through fire for it to become purified and become what you see. Trust the process honey. Every time you think that you have missed an opportunity, it could be God’s way of telling you to stop trusting in yourself and start trusting Him. His word says “Trust in The Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding”
The moment your prayers change from “Lord this is what I need” to “May Your will be done in my life, ” you begin to see the glass as half full and not half empty.
You begin to see that any set back in your life is a set up for a come back (another cliche, I know) Let go and let God. I learnt that we sometimes say some of these things but hardly understand the magnitude of some of these words. Letting go and letting God means giving your all to God and letting Him work on you because it is His business.
The process is hard. It is not easy. But you know what He says, He says “My grace is sufficient for you and my power is made manifest in your weakness” If God was to show you what is in store for you, you would appreciate your struggles and your pain. If there is one “person” who understands pain more than anything else in this world, it is God. He watched His son die on the cross for you and for me. It was not easy, but it was worth it. He wanted a relationship with you and with me. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all other things shall be added unto you. So yes, you do not have that job, but God is working on it and on you. You just need to trust Him. He says, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” He doesn’t say when things are going well, He says ALL circumstances.
Begin to thank God for everything in your life. For all the things going on in your life and for the things that He is about to do because those that trust in The Lord are like Mount Zion. They shall not be shaken. Trust the process. Trust the process.
Appreciate the season that you are in and learn the lesson that God wants you to learn. He is a faithful God. He is loyal. He shall never leave you nor forsake you.
Judy is getting ready to leave the office. Happy and content with what God is doing for and with her. Yes, she got a job. A job she did not have to sit through an interview for, because God opened a door for her. A job better than what she had hoped for or even imagined. God will do exceedingly, abundantly and above all you could ever think of.
God says that His blessing maketh rich and addeth no sorrow.
All you have to do is trust God and TRUST THE PROCESS.
XoXo with love,
